LOL... I have finally bought the Nikon D70s... After what seemed like ages. :P Perhaps now I can start saving up for a separate flash unit... After which PErhaps a nice nice defusier for the flash. Expenditure has reached sky-high levels... I must save up for a rainy day!

Yes. I guess I wun take candids of NHDS unless I'm far far away from the subject, otherwise my poor camera sure kena whack de... lol.. :P I need to clear my computer of the photos that are useless, otherwise its gonna crash. It currently contains over 6000 photos.... My photo blog contains about 3600 plus photos. LOL. :)

Argh i'pissed off with the camera shops at Sim lim square, Funan and Penninsular! Firstly, they purposely make it sound cheap... I had to ask them the same questions... Full kit rite? Plus CF card? Any free gifts? Authorised dealer? Plus GST?
Sian lar. I'm pissed. lol. I have to take my time. Cant waste $$ on the conmen. lol.

I woke up with acute muscle ache... mostly near the triceps ba... i havent been pumping lately u see... lol... 2 years wo NAPFA for me... oh dear? lol. Yar and so i went bowling... OMG its like totally the last thing anyone would do yar? but anw my family wanted to go so i had no choice yar. lol. After which I went for a swim! lols... Yepp. After the swim i rushed to dhoby ghaut station to meet up wif SYD... From there we went to Teochew Building for a talk by Bob Lee... Wow it was a very enriching talk! Yar after which we went to see the photo exhibition... WOW... nice nice.
Hmm we were feeling hungry den we went to Fish n co... lols rich rite. I ordered a $3.90 soup of the dae! lol... while seniors ordered full set meals... I wonder wat was the total cost lorr... lol... Yar after eating we had our photo critque session... Okay wo critism nobody can improve... lols... :)
Yar went home after tt and here i am now! LOL.

Personally this year, I have been a very happy person! I'm the most xing fu person in the world!

I've been very nice. Minding my own business and always trying my best to put things in a positive connotation. Yet some people who are of a totally different leaque from me decide to throw cold water on my various activities! What does totally different league mean? we have totally different goals in life besides that particular area... Yar, my strength may not lie in that partuicular area, but i can work on it ya? Ok nvm about that. Call me a jack of all trades, master of none... Anything!

Life has changed dramatically. From a triple science student to an arts student to a mass comm student... I have decided upon the path of life I will take. Nobody should discourage me rite? *Bishes those people who discourage me... lol...

LOL this post sounds pissed. But I'm not. :P I'm merely stating some happy facts. :)

Todae has been a rather fun day! I woke up at 8am... Did my normal morning routine den headed for church... Yar church was empty... So i waited den a woman opened the door for me.. den i went to the large and dark empty sanctuary... Started to practise on the drums lor... haha. alone. well not really alone. God was there wif me. He's always there for me. :) Yar practise practise... Den Jerome came n we practised together lor. We're improving!
After drums i went to Tiong bahru plaza wif my parents for lunch.. den took mrt to Nan Hua...
Yar dance prac for NDp was pretty much the same. Mr Low finally blew his top at the students in order to keep law n order. haha. n mr yeo too! sum students simply deserve it. GRRR. So attitude sia the new batch. well maybe not all lar. haiz.
Yar i went home quite late. :(

AHHH stop! I think 350D is not good after all! The color sucks. The lens no zoom de, only got wide angle view, den lens so expensive to upgrade! Yar den not forgetting its small size! I must switch my attention to Nikon D70s LERR. Den save money to buy the crazee $600 lens to cover the whole scope. ARGH what an expensive hobby/ambition...
I must think carefully be4 buying... cannot regret de... eeek...

I went to Sim Lim Square this afternoon and did a price analysis on the Canon 350D...
Alan Photo Enterprise - $1530 [ Authorised dealer of Canon ]
Pixels and Shutter - $1460 [ Non-Authorised Dealer ]
Other shops - $1600 and above

Hmmm. I guess that Nikon D70s is out since its quite expensive... I would rather buy a camera which has more add-ons such as a separate flash unit and better lenses... Besides Canon is better than Nikon. Notice that I've left out many other brand names such as Sony and Olympus... Sony does not have DSLR cameras... Though one is coming out soon, the memory stick costs a bomb... Then Olympus... Seriously I dun wish to describe my previous experience with an Olympus DSLR... lol. Anyway, I noticed that separate flash units cost a bomb too... $400++ for one single flash unit... Just becos theres TTL... ( Through The Lens Metering ) P.S : Prevents overexposure... Bleagh a simple flash unit costs very little... maybe a hundred or so only... But of cos I need TTL... Since i take lotsa nite pics for NHDS... lol... e.g: National day coming, Theatre shots for SYf...

Wait then again, Nikon has better lens! ( 18 - 70 ) while Canon ( 18 -55 )... Canon flash units cost at least $400 while Nikon flash units cost $300... I need zoom! ARGH. This is irritating. Alot of money will be spent lor. eek. Issit worth it?

Hmmm. Wow alot has happened this week! Shall start from friday.

Friday
WEnt to SPH centre early in the morning... For day 2 of orientation camp. The she ying yuan ( SYD), split up into several grps, went to various locations such as haw par villa and the ford factory. Basically I was taken to the old Ford factory for an outing wif the student reporters. Yupp. :) After the outing we went back to SPH centre n slacked while the reporters listened to a talk. Sorted thru the photos we took; these will be submitted for the approval of the reporters and editor of newspaper. Yepp. That's all for friday.

Saturday
Went to SPH centre early in the morning again. lol. Had some fun wif dance cheoreography which i knew would churn out a mess during the nite's performance. lol. Den we had a nice session of amazing race outdoors... I was made to put on makeup... lipstick on the nose, mascara on my eye lids and more lipstick on my mouth. lol. wadever? my 2 other frens had to gel up their hair wif wax. After the race we had a buffet dinner wif the whole txy ( tong xun yuan ) and many performances at the auditorium... HAHA so funny... one of the seniors wore a skirt... Yupp. After everything i went home n slept. lol.

Today
Went to church... Held meeting for communications committee.... I hope the members understand what i have in mind for the newsletters n stuff... After church I went to Penninsular plaza to take a look at cameras... Canon 350D not bad eh... $1500 full kit with 1GB CF card... Nikon D70 $1650 full kit with 1GB CF card... Nikon better i think.

Woke up early in the morning... Dragged myself to the MRT station at 8am and boarded the train heading towards marina bay. I was real real lethargic... Cos haven recover from the flu... Cheered my depressed self up wif music from mp3... When i'm sick i tend to feel depressed... yepp. Upon arrival we left for SPH centre immediately... Holy cow there was 3 guys wif real pro cameras... The lenses they had were like totally off the hook! One was so heavy that I think it weighs maybe 3kg... About the size of your computer screen ba. :) Den they had lots of filters n stuff... wow. Wish i were that rich? lol. Anw we split into many groups and i was wif Ying Yu n gang... plus our trusty leader Zi Jie there to guide us along...

And so we proceeded to Orchard to take photos of the people n stuff. Refer to photo blog. I used Zi Jie's SLR to take the nicee photos, so the nice photos will not be on my photo blog. will ask her to send me the pics soon... :) The pics on my blog are those taken wif an amateur camera with no optical zoom. Yar. :)

Anyway, we spent the afternoon taking pics of people... Den went back to SPH to have a photo critque... :) Yar tts all at a glance ba. Go see photo blog ba. :)

Crashed pioneer today. Regretted it cos it was totally boring! the talks... omg... watever!


It has been about 4 months since I left Nan Hua as a student. Looking back in time, I realise how much I miss my secondary school life. The good old days of lower sec in campus one and two. ( its such a pity tt i din own a proper digicam those days. ) The wonderful memories of the new campus... Anyway I suddenly feel like blogging about the dance elections when i was sec 3.

I was nominated for vice-chair, head of welfare, and head of publicity. Well what I wanted was to become head of publicity of cos! Mrs Wong just put my names up for vice chair n welfare for show perhaps? lols. cos the list was likedat :

Well though I din end up in the ex-co, I still pledged full support to NHDS! Doesnt matter whether I was in exco or not. What matters most is whether everyone works together in the growth of NHDS. So my point in bringing this up is to tell the current sec 3s dis:

Work together as a team to bring up the younger dancers.IT doesnt matter what title is assigned to your frens. AS long as there's the spirit of togetherness, nothing can tear the society apart.

YAr i got my posting results... Mass communications at Ngee Ann Poly... Now most people will sae: WAH WHY DIN U CHOOSE A JC? Well, I've seen the consequences of Jc life... It may lead to a dead end... Its fast but narrow... like a stampede of people walking on a beam balance... Many will fall. There are 20 JCs. And only 5 local universities. Obviously there's a reason for that! Anyway, Mass comm isnt an easy course to get into WORS.

Unnecessary stress- the leading cause of breakdowns and depressions in teenagers. Many of us would agree that the youths of today worry about the smallest things. Be it relationships, studies or even what food to eat, we just keep worrying!

Todae was a fine dae lar. GP was a total slack period cos the teacher had to attend to a meeting... Hmmm. Blasted nice music via external speakers... :P YAr slacked again... till lit lesson... quite an interesting lesson as usual... :)
After school i met up wif Jennie, Wei Hong, Jeremy and Khoon Hui and we walked to the 188 bus stop (WOW ITS SO FAR LAR). It took us an hour to get to NH... If i had taken the MRT, ( same amt of $ for me but not for a few of them ) it would merely take me 30 mins. Anyway company is better than no company... So i tagged along lar. :P Upon arrival the lower sec was in the hall dancing sections A to C... There was some changes to the dance... it was somehow made simpler... lols... Good lor, then they will learn it faster i suppose. I'm glad to see the non-dancers enjoying themselves too... Yupp. That'a all for today i suppose. PHoto blog has been updated!
